Because if you ARE on Twitter, then you got the news in real time (in 140 character increments.) Seriously, folks, EVERYONE should twitter their labor. It makes things much more interesting and fun.
The birth story is coming after I, you know, stop weeping about things like the dog hair EVERYWHERE and having to go back to the doctor for blood pressure issues that materialized out of nowhere. NICE.
For now, here is The Boy:
This kid was born at 3:31 in the MORNING (rude!) He was 21 inches long and weighed 8lbs 11oz (RUDE!)
I have already forgiven him though, because, LOOK.

I'm a little wierded out reading this post because we went through the same hell with our daughter for 5 months when she was born (this and the friend with a stillborn area too). I was terrified to have another but finally my innerds were aching so we did. We have experienced the exact same thoughts and worry everything down to the last month of blood pressure issues out of nowhere. The day after we got home from the hospital our little guy started that cry that we will never forget and I called my doula/chiropractor and she made a home visit and adjusted him. I WAS LIKE MAJIC!!!! He stopped crying! He still doesn't cry 11 months later, unless, he's hungry or tired or his sister is pestering him. He doesn't even cry when he's poopy! Kinda makes me want to have another, kinda.

Oh wow what a face on that boy! I want to smooch his yummy cheeks.
I totally feel your pain about the random blood-pressure issues though. I was kept in the hospital longer after the birth of my first child because of that and I'd never had issues before then (or since then, for that matter). Hang in there and enjoy the yumminess. I can't wait to hear the birth story and how the big sister is doing.
