On Friday, A New Duck wrote a haiku in the comments of a week old post (now that, my friends, is dedication.) I appreciated the effort (and loves me a haiku) and so--here is mine:
Languishing in hell
One day it will be worth it
Not so much today.
If it's not too much like homework, why don't you write a nice little haiku in today's comments? I don't think it will LITERALLY make me feel better about being CHAINED to the COUCH in DIGESTIVE PREOCCUPATION-slash-AGONY, while my kid is running amok with the television on, but it will make me feel LOVED and that's like, super important too.

Wanting it over
Fuck! There's no way out but through
One day, baby love

Month-long runny nose
Something gross on the carpet
Applesauce, I hope...
Hang in there!

I am sorry to hear
That morning sickness remains
*handing you crackers*
Can they really call
such a thing morning sickness
for nausea all day?
Sorry for the delay
My hubby had two days off
So no blog reading.

I'm FAMOUS! I was just hoping to see a new post and I saw MY BLOG mentioned on your blog! Now I'm really on my way. Deeeluxe apartment in the sky, here I come.
Anyway, in my great craziness... er... great excitement, I generated you two new haikus. Here you go:
Always loved New Girl
Thought, "Best blogger, and famous!"
Now I'm famous, too
And here's one for the baby book:
Float baby, float, float
Little bean in utero
Stop making mom sick

I am zero good at haiku but know from one expecting mom to another that I FEEL your pain.
Right now I am dealing with an awful Pubic Bone pain... I just keep telling myself - it is only temporary.
HUGS
