When Did Snuffaluffagus Become Visible?
So, here's the thing.
I don't do reviews of products here on this blog. I don't have a review page. I don't have ads, or sponsors, or income related to blogging. I'm still ambivalent about it and so, there it is.
That being said, I accepted an offer from The Parent Bloggers Nework to go and attend a media day at Sesame Place, the Sesame Street Theme Park. I figured, 'What the heck? I might as well go and check it out.'
And so, I give you my review of my experience.
It was a weekend day, and a hot one at that. The Media Day coincided with The Bring-a-Friend Day (for season pass holders) and so, there were a BAZILLION people there. The cute [little old guy] elderly gentleman who took our tickets told us that it was busier than he'd ever seen it.
After waiting quite a long time to get in, I have to be honest and tell you that I had a modicum of dread. I was hot, The Littlest New Girl was nap-deprived and cranky and I had to [pee like a racehorse] use the facilities.
Once inside Sesame Place, however, I was impressed with the design (spacious and easily traversed) and the cleanliness (even the bathrooms, for which there were NO lines, whoo hoo), and the helpfulness of the staff.
And then there was this:
Can you read what it says?
Here:
Sure, it was a little like a cinder-block bathroom, sans twa-let. But in this case, it really, really IS the thought that counts and I was VERY impressed with these facilities. You know. That they HAD them.
There were rides, the water park and a little playground in the back. Complete with Big Bird's Nest. It's where I snapped these pictures of TLNG.
Here are a couple of The Nephew having a blast.
We're totally going back to ride the rides and visit the water park. When it's cooler and less crowded.
And, you know.
After we've NAPPED.
ONE!!
One cranky baby...
MWWAAHH HAHAHA!*
*It was a toss-up between that or, 'C is for Cranky, that's good enough for me...'
P.S. Sorry for the multiple publishes. I blame my arch-nemesis, Typepad.

Damn she's cute.

This is a wonderful review!
We had a decidedly not good time there this go around, and I was surprised. Maybe because I was looking too hard with a critical eye. Next time, I'll just go and enjoy myself.

I was blown away last summer by StoryLand in NH. I was expecting a cheesy local theme park instead it was a neat-as-a-pin, cozy, *reasonably priced* park - that also had nursing facilities.
What's the age range on SSP? My boys are 3 and 5.5.

Love nursing rooms! But, where was the phone? The sign on the door says, "For access, pick up the phone..." That would have stumped me for hours when I was nursing.

SeSame Place is a great place for small kids. We loved it. Most of the activities didn't have lines and the kids could go at there own pace.

O MAN - I LOVE SESAME Place. I use to take my baby there when she was a baby but she is 10 now:( She had a great time.
I only had ONE bad experience there. A MOM decides to leave teh DOO DOO diaper on her little boy and let him go into the pool - NUFF SAID.
BTW WHERE did you get that stroller from - I LOVE IT.. MUST get me a linky please.

I think I remember him becoming visible back in the 80's. Before Elmo came along.

She's adorable smiling or cranky.
Love her top. Do they make it in my size?

I want that stroller. TLNG's pretty darned cute too, even napless.

I love her cranky, nap-deprived face. Priceless!
Totally separately ... I have fond memories of going to Sesame Place when I was young. So ... hooray that it's still open and rockin'!
