The Littlest New Girl Has Arrived
After 14,201 hours of labor and about the same amount of time pushing, Little Miss New Girl arrived at 12:25am on today, June 6, weighing in at 7 lbs 1 oz and measuring 21 inches even.
She has the esteemed honor of sharing a birthday with Miss Georgia Teen USA 1996 and her loving, and very excited grandfahter.
The little one did battle with mom's pelvis for awhile, but even with her little sore head, she's chipper, healthy, and latched on like a champ. Mom is trying to catch some zzzzz's amidst slugging coffee, juice, and anything else she couldn't stomach for the last nine months.
I'll be bringing a large chocolate cake over to her in a few.
More exciting details, including oxygen masks! and foley bulbs! to come soon. Have a large glass of juice for my girl today!
